Saturday Morning Email
We are stoked! The weather is beautiful and the water was calm this morning. With a temperature of 75.7 at 11am, it is almost sure to be wetsuit legal tomorrow morning!
Transition is built and the bike racks are numbered. If you've been on the fence, or have a friend on the fence, we are closing registration at 5pm TONIGHT.
There is plenty of parking in the lot, right next to transition. If that lot gets full, there is also lots of parking down Public Landing Wharf Rd, down near the swim beach. Just be sure not to park in a numbered spot... those belong to the slip owners.
Bike course is marked with orange tape arrows (still there... I checked), and we will add some more arrows to the turns as well. 99% of the time, if you see a police officer, that might be a clue that there is a turn (The only exception is on Paw Paw Creek Road, on your return back, you will go straight... there are arrows telling you to go straight too!)
The run course is a simple out and back course, with mile markers marked. Run all the way down to the turnaround, and head on back to us. The aide station you see, you can hit both ways, if you like.
REMEMBER, THIS IS AN OPEN COURSE. Be cautious when you see vehicles. They are watching for you, but in a fight... you lose every time.
We can't wait to see you at 7am. Be sure to bring your photo ID. As you registered, your USAT # was validated, but we still need that photo ID. The check in process will be one of the fastest that you've ever been through. If you haven't seen our video from last year, it's the same setup (minus all of the COVID stuff).
